The first step in installing a smart security door is choosing the right door. For apartment units, a smart security door with a peephole and video intercom is recommended, while a stainless steel smart door is more suitable for stairwells. The door thickness should be at least 8 cm, and a C-grade lock cylinder should be selected to ensure anti-theft performance. A 2-3 cm gap should be left between the door frame and the wall for future adjustments.
Installation in Four Steps:
Measurement and Positioning: Accurately measure the door opening dimensions and mark the expansion screw positions, with an error within 5 mm.
Fixing the Door Frame: Use a level to calibrate, first fixing the top frame, then the sides, and finally adjusting the bottom frame.
Installing the Door: Hang the door leaf into the door frame and test the hinges to ensure smooth and noiseless opening and closing.
Powering On and Testing: Connect the power supply and network, and test the smart lock, camera, and other functions to ensure they are working properly.
Maintenance Tips: Smart doors require regular maintenance to extend their lifespan. Check the lock lubrication quarterly, and replace the door frame sealing strip annually. In case of system failure, try restarting first; for complex electronic problems, contact a professional. Pay special attention to moisture prevention during the rainy season; wipe the circuit interfaces with a dry cloth.
