For buyers sourcing smart doors, the factory floor says more than any brochure. During a recent walk-through of TENON's smart door workshop, our team photographed several of the production processes carried out on site. The processes used, and the order they follow, vary with door type and order configuration.
Cutting and machining
The workshop has laser cutting equipment for metal sheets and CNC panel saws for wooden boards. CNC engraving machines are used to shape decorative patterns, outlines and lock openings on door panels.
Bending and grooving
Sheet metal is grooved and bent to form parts such as door frames, edge trims and door leaf shells. Grooving before bending helps produce cleaner edges.
Filling, bonding and frame assembly
We also saw door leaves being filled and bonded, and frames being assembled with sealing strips and concealed hinges. On smart doors, openings and wiring paths for the lock, camera and display are planned into the door structure, so the smart system and the door are designed to work together.
Packing for shipment
Finished doors are packed for shipment, and the packing method is confirmed for each order.
